This Privacy Policy describes how Smoking Timber LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use this website.

Information We Collect

• Anonymous website usage data collected on every visit (page path and referring URL — no personal identifiers)
• Full analytics and marketing data collected only after you give cookie consent (see “Cookies and Tracking” below)

Cookies and Tracking

We operate a two-tier tracking system. What we collect depends on whether you have given cookie consent.

Tier 1 — Always Active (no consent required)

On every page visit we record the page path and referring URL in our server logs. No personal identifiers, device fingerprints, or cookies are used. IP addresses are hashed before storage and are never stored in plain text. This data is used solely to understand which pages are visited and where traffic comes from.

We also load Google Analytics in restricted mode (“cookieless modeling”). In this mode Google receives anonymized, aggregate signals to estimate traffic patterns. No identifying cookies are set and no personal data is sent to Google until you give consent.

Tier 2 — Full Analytics and Marketing (consent required)

When you click “I Understand” on the cookie banner, we enable the following:

• Google Analytics 4 (property ID G-SV0Q2MN486) — sets first-party cookies to track your sessions, page views, and interactions across visits. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Meta Pixel (pixel ID 1286379410142830) — loads a tracking script from Facebook that measures ad performance and enables remarketing audiences. Governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy.
• Full pageview logging — our server logs include a persistent client identifier alongside the page path and referrer to support cross-session analytics.

We use Google Consent Mode v2, which controls three signals: analytics_storage, ad_storage, and ad_personalization. All three are denied by default and granted only after your consent.

Consent and Your Choices

Your cookie preference is stored in your browser’s localStorage (key: st_cookie_consent_v1). It is not a cookie itself, so it persists until you clear your browser data.

• To accept: click “I Understand” on the banner. Full Tier 2 tracking activates immediately.
• To withdraw: click “Cookie Preferences” in the footer, then “Customize Settings.” Clearing your browser’s local storage for this site will also reset your preference and re-show the banner.
• Marketing emails: unsubscribe using the link in any email we send.
• Data requests: contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

Sharing of Information

We share data only with service providers needed to run the business, including payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, hosting (Microsoft Azure), and fraud prevention. If you have given cookie consent, data is also shared with Google and Meta as described above. We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed for order fulfillment, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and legitimate business operations. Anonymous server logs are retained for up to 12 months.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
