Product Care Guide

Smoking Timber tools are made from solid hardwood and built to be maintained, not replaced.

Before first use

Wipe clean and apply a light coat of food-safe Board Wax if the wood looks dry after shipping.

Daily cleaning

Hand wash with warm water and mild soap, then dry immediately. Do not leave tools soaking in water.

Re-oiling schedule

Re-oil every 2-4 weeks for heavy use, or anytime the surface looks dull. Let oil absorb overnight and wipe excess.

What to avoid

Avoid dishwashers, bleach cleaners, and prolonged direct sun exposure when not in use.

After handling raw meat

Wash immediately with hot, soapy water, rinse, and dry fully. Then sanitize with 3% hydrogen peroxide and let it air-dry before storage.

Quick Steps

  1. Rinse and hand wash only.
  2. Dry immediately with a towel.
  3. Apply food-safe Board Wax when wood looks dry.
  4. Store indoors between cooks for maximum life.
